Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Her work has been recognized for film and television in the 1980s, she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt in New York New York. Bassett's mother had split from her father at about five. Bassett and her younger sister then moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. While in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided that she wanted to become an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983), from the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in the year 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
